In Conclusion...
Thank you all for reading my blog. I hope it was entertaining as well as informative.Special thanks to google, youtube, pandora, coke, oreos, cellphones, and especially a big thanks to my girlfriend. It has been a pleasure blogging with you.
My inspirations for my own artwork
What inspires me most is books.Mainly action, adventure, and fantasy books. They leave the mind to wonder what you could use as an illustration for what you just read. It leaves a whole pool of possibilities.
My trip to the High Museum
I went to the museum with my girlfriend. We rode the marta train and almost got lost getting there. Once there we were able to get in free due to a special event put on by target. We enjoyed viewing the art work and especially all the cool furniture they had on display. Overall it was a fun experience. We also got to see the De Vinci: Hand of a Genius, his work was astounding. It was also extremely crowded.
My thoughts on this class
When I first saw this class on the class roster, I thought it would be a class the would teach me the fundamentals of sketching,painting,and/or ceramics. But instead of doing these, this class ended up teaching the history and concepts behind the different artists and movements.
Artist in Society....
Artists in society are just like normal people. However they critique the world around them with an artisits eye. The wonder if what they are looking at can be sketched or if it would look cool with just using one color to redo it. They dont see the world for what it is, but what it could be. If they can visualize it, it can be created.
Art and Film
Film is art because it takes creative people to make the sets and the movie come to life. Without actors the movie is just a bunch of scenes of scenory. With actors and no set, people are wondering what the heck is going on. With both together you get a whole awesome work of moving art that anyone can enjoy.
I know what art is, but do you?
Art is self expression of a person through different activities such as acting, painting, sketching, music, and singing. These activities are what lets the people of the world express themselves.
Art education in schools.....
After talking to an old friend who currently attends my old high school.I have learned that due to recent budget cuts and economical activities, all funding has been shut off to the art department. She said that her teacher is trying to make the materials she was able to obtain last year, last through this year. Its not an easy feat. It is a sad day when a child is unable to express themselves in the fine arts department.

Interview with a curator...
What is your favorite part of the job?
-My fav. part is when I can walk out of my office, and see all the hard work into finding the artwork and protecting it.
How old were you when you started the job?
-When I started working at the museum I was about 25.When I was promoted to curator I was 39.Now I am 57, and have loved every single moment working here.
Why did you start working at the museum?
-It started off as just a job that I needed to just pay the rent. However as time went on, I loved it more and more, until I decided to keep the job permanently. It kinda just grew on me.
Has art always fascinated you?
-No not really. The first time art started to intrest me was the end of my elementary years, when I had to do a project on the history of Michaelangelo.Ever since then, art has found its way to fascinate me.

Public Art
Public Art is still alive and well. In the streets of Athens the students have drawn pictures depicting their love of UGA and its football team. They created it for others to view for no fee.
Graffiti..art or primitive wall drawings? you be the judge
Graffiti is art, except for if its gangs just marking their "terf" to let other gangs know that they cannot be crossed. If it has a meaning behind it, such as a political movement idea, or an anti-war slogan then I consider it to be art.
Video Games are a culture....
Video games are a culture because you get a way to express yourself with most games. In some of them you get to design your own character or even your own world. They also give you a way to express your feelings at that point in time, without having to resort to destructive means.
I love this piece of architecture....

I love this architecture because not only is it art and history, it is also a symbol of freedom to all who cross into our waters.

Right Brain/Left Brain
Right Brain:
My right brain takes up my whole head. I have no left brain, if I do, it is about the size of a quarter. I am not good at thinking analytically, but I can reason pretty good.
Left Brain:
non-existant.

FASHION
fashion is art because it gives the maker a chance to express themselves no matter the expression. the only difference between this and drawing is that this is a different medium
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0LIvrxf-R0
This music video is art because the creater took the words and added a new way to express them. He found pictures and placed them where appropriate. He also choose different fonts and colors to express the emotions depicted in the lyrics.
DaNcE pArTy!
Dance is art in motion. It requires you to be creative, and determined. It takes years of mastery and can be beautiful or a piece of crap. It can make you look like a gasel or a freak having a seizure. It is all up to the artist.
To youtube! AWAY!!!!

This youtube movie is art because 1) the artist is expressing his feelings towards unicorns, and 2) it combines so many different elements such as comedy, animation, and drawing.

Human nature in an art form.
In this picture, you see how the nazi's were persecuting the jewish people for their religion and on the assumption that they made Germany lose WWI.

Human nature in an art form.
This shows how even in our greatest time of need, humans come together to overcome whatever obsticles are in our path. In doing so we grow as a civilization.

The conditions of humans.
This is the most viewed picture of the Great Depression.Taken of a woman and her children, you can clearly see what is going through her mind. How is she going to make it? will there ever be an end to the suffering? What about my children? and many more with uncertain answers.

Human struggle in art.
This piece shows how in the great depression how hard it was to even keep animals alive. Children are seen here playing near a dead carriage horse. It shows how sad the times were back 70 years ago.

Interview with an artist....
1) What is your favorite kind of medium to use?
C.H.: I really enjoy the basics. I love to just sketch out my work with pencil and overlay it with pen. It gives a really nice presentation and makes the marks really stand out, and makes them look sharper.
2) What got you into art?
C.H.:My mom and sister used to draw and paint all the time. I kinda grew up around it. My mom would do woodworking and paint murals on the walls of our house. It was pretty much all around me.
3) What is one piece that your working on currently?
C.H.: I am working on a peice that requires me to redo the same picture ten times, each time using a different medium .I chose to do a tea cup. You would think that it is a simple feat, but trying to be original and creative redoing the same thing is difficult. Hopefully it will turn out okay.
4) What is your favorite piece that you have created so far?
C.H.: My favorite piece so far is a still life of a toy truck and cabbage. It was done in prisma colored pencils. It took almost three weeks to complete, but it is my favorite because of all the color that I put into it.
5) What is your inspiration?
C.H.:I am inspired by multiple things. Right now I would say that it has to be nature. It changes so much and has so many colors, and contours to sketch. The possibilities are endless.
6) What kinda of art work do you enjoy doing the most?
C.H.: I love landscapes. They are so peaceful and simple. They make the best art!

Monty Python
This film is a work of art because it combines so many different element such as the historical elements of the black plague, and the medieval period. It also combines the ideoligical aspects of the Holy Grail. It also gives the actors a way to express themselves.
I'm having a catharsis!
Today I am watching my cousins, and my little brother. Their ages go from 6 to 8. A nineteen year old watching three kids, it does not add up, I can assure you that. They have torn my drawing that I have been working on for two weeks to shreds. They drew on my furniture with a sharpie. They are attacking the poor cat with nerf swords, and they are taunting the dogs with pieces of meat. Right now my patience has been anialated. I wish to take my nerf sword and run through their fort tearing it down, like they did my drawing :'(. I wish to crawl up into a small little ball and cry myself to sleep, dreaming of their defeat!Nine more hours of this, how will I survive...I feel like it is a zombie apocolypse and that I am the lone survivor, slowly awaiting the end.
